Spring, the app

Spring is looking to change the way you shop online. No, I'm not talking about the season, I'm talking about the mobile application. Spring is hoping to change the way we shop on the go by making it easier than ever to browse, pay for, and style the clothes you love all on your phone.

"We were frustrated having to download multiple apps and visit mobile e-commerce sites that still have difficult checkout systems," said co-founder and CEO Alan Tisch in an interview with Vogue.com. The solution according to Tisch and partners Ara Katz (CMO), Octavian Costache (CTO), and David Tisch (his brother and Chairman), is an Instagram-like feed of product images that are sortable by store/brand, product type, or more general topics like occasion and style.

Each shop has its own page where they can feature different products and can use campaign photos to attract customers instead of just straight product shots. It's almost like flipping through a digital magazine where every image is shoppable! As for checkout, you are only a swipe away from making your closet the envy of everyone around you. You only need to fill out your credit card and shipping information once and the app will securely hold the information. And if you're the type of person who likes to load your online shopping carts with pieces you love instead of bookmarking the pages for later, Spring has prepared for you too. By "liking" a product you can add it to your mobile wishlist and have the option to sign up for notifications from the brand, like if the product goes on sale or if there is only a limited number left.

After launching in August of last year, Spring has made leaps and bounds in responding to the needs and concerns of its customers. The only downside? Making shopping on the go this easy cannot be good for my bank account...
