Finally, a Wallet that Prevents Identity Theft

Identity theft has been a hot topic for what feels like ages now, but how important is it really? If Articulate's newest Kickstarter project is any tell then the answer is very! It took only 4 days to raise $10,000 for their identity theft blocking wallets and clutches.

The Articulate wallets are made from a special fabric that protects against RFID identity theft. RIFD, Radio Frequency Identification, allows shoppers to simply scan their debit and credit cards when checking out instead of swiping. It's a form of technology already widely used in things like EZPass, and is now being implemented into credit and debit cards. However, as is the case with any new technology, there are hackers and thieves only half a step behind. With simple scanners hidden in a purse, a pocket, or a briefcase, identity thieves can subtly scan your cards from within your bag, accessing all your credit card information. They can then use that information to whatever end they choose. Not an ideal situation. Luckily, Articulate has come to our rescue!

The special RFID blocking fabric prevents the frequencies coming from your cards from escaping the confines of your wallet, in turn protecting them from scanners hidden by those going after your financial identity. Articulate's version is not the only RFID blocking wallet on the market, however it is one of the most stylish options available. It comes in red, teal, blue, yellow, tan, and of course black. The design of the wallet also has space for your phone and comes with a variety of strap options.
