Rarely do we associate boxing and ballet together. Both require being light on your feet, but other than that they appear to be total opposites. Boxing is seen as rough and tough, even bloody and violent. Ballet is seen as light and airy, beautiful and feminine. But the truth is that these two sports (if you think ballet is not a sport try standing on pointe and turning in a pirouette) have much more in common than you might think.
In Dannijo's latest collection video, they explore the beauty of both ballet and boxing and the result is stunning. Just as the athletic combinations play with hard and soft, the Dannijo Fall/Winter 14 Boxerina collection offers jewelry with an attitude while maintaining a feminine lightness all its own.

Nothing is better than finding out your favorite niche designer is branching out to offer something totally new, which is why I cannot wait for Dannijo's Spring 15 shoe collection. Known for their bold and fresh jewelry designs, Dannijo's designers and founders Jodie and Danielle Synder are partnering with Eric Rutberg of Transparent Footwear Inc to create a line of sandals, heels, and booties for us to ogle over come spring.
"Quality has always been of utmost importance to us - which is why the jewelry is handmade in New York and the bags in Italy - so partnering with an experienced licenser that could grow a lucrative luxury business was of the utmost importance," said Jodie Snyder in an interview with Fashionista.com.
Rutberg has worked with many designers to launch their footwear lines, such as LAMB and Badgley Mischka. Together, Rutberg and the Snyders will produce a contemporary price point line with flat sandals starting at $250, heeled sandals at $325, and booties at $450. Other than price point and one or two sketches, the sister design duo have left us with much to imagine and hope for. So start saving now ladies! With fans like Sophia Bush and the ManRepeller's Leandra Medine, the collection is sure to sell out quick!
